The Heartbeat of AZIT — The Event That Brings Everyone Together

If there is one event that defines what AZIT is, it is the Regular Meeting. Held three times each semester, the Regular Meeting is the moment when every member of AZIT — Korean students and international exchange students from every corner of the world — gathers in one place at one time. The energy in the room on these nights is unlike anything else the semester has to offer. This is where AZIT's identity is most fully realized, where its purpose becomes tangible, and where the community that has been quietly forming throughout the semester comes visibly, undeniably to life.

The Regular Meeting is not simply a social gathering. It serves as the official pulse of the organization — a moment to mark the beginning of a new chapter at the start of the semester, to celebrate what has been built in the middle, and to reflect on a shared journey at the end. The first Regular Meeting of each semester holds particular significance. For exchange students, it is often their very first experience of AZIT, and the impression formed on that night shapes the entire arc of their membership. For this reason, AZIT's executive team dedicates enormous effort to ensuring that the first meeting sets the right tone: welcoming, energetic, and genuinely inclusive from the very first minute.

Meetings are held in the evenings, typically in a lecture hall or event space booked for the occasion. The program runs for approximately two to three hours and is built around content developed entirely by the AZIT planning team — team-based games, cultural exchange quizzes, collaborative missions, and occasional surprise performances or presentations. Participants are grouped into mixed teams of Korean and international members, ensuring that even those who arrive without knowing a single person are immediately placed in a setting where connection is natural and encouraged. Following the main event, a social gathering continues the evening in a more relaxed setting, giving members additional time to talk and build on the momentum of the night.

The 2026 spring semester schedule includes the Opening General Assembly on March 4th, followed by the first international members' Regular Meeting on March 11th, and subsequent meetings on April 1st and May 6th. Each meeting is built around a different theme and set of activities, so returning members will find something new every time. Event details and venue information are announced in advance through AZIT's official Instagram @azit_inha and the member group chat.

To anyone attending their first Regular Meeting: there is no need to be nervous. It does not matter if you are shy, if your language skills are imperfect, or if you do not know a single person in the room. AZIT's executive members will be there to greet you at the door, show you around, and make sure you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The members who tend to leave with the most new friends are often the ones who came alone and decided to be open to whatever the night brought. Your semester at AZIT starts here. We hope to see you there.
